The jerk helps you move more efficiently, lift heavier, and build confidence under the bar.

push jerk: 
a great option if you want to move heavier loads overhead without adding more complex footwork.

power jerk: 
this variation helps build timing, speed under the bar, overhead stability, and control.

split jerk:
the best option for your heaviest lifts, while also developing balance, coordination, and confidence.

There’s no one “best” jerk variation. The right one is the one that feels strongest, safest, and most comfortable for you right now.

As you progress from strict press to push press to jerk, the movement becomes more efficient, helping you continue building strength and skill overhead.
